Jesus and Santa

Here’s the 2-minute video from our Carols by Candlelight for all ages.

Annual Emmanuel Walk

Blow some post-Christmas cobwebs away! Join us for a stroll around Wollaton Park starting at 2pm from 27 Denewood Ave, and then returning there for tea afterwards. If you can offer cakes for the tea, please let Sarah know.

A Fresh Start!

a fresh start
Something is terribly wrong- with our world, with our relationships, with us. We all sense this at different times. But is there anything we can do about it?

With all the honesty and humour for which he is famous, John Chapman tells in ‘A Fresh Start’ that God has done something about it. We read about: just what God has done for us through his son, Jesus; how we can know it is true; what the alternatives are; and what we should do about it.

If you have been searching for a book that simply and clearly explains what it means to be a Christian, either for your own or another’s benefit, your search is over.

We’re selling lots of copies of this book at the reduced price of only £3 over this Christmas period: pick up a copy at any of our Christmas events at Emmanuel.

The Golden Compass

'The Golden Compass' film poster

I’ve not yet seen this film version of the first of Philip Pullman’s trilogy His Dark Materials … but I’m looking forward to it!

There’s lots that Christians will want to think about.   If you are a film buff and are planning a movie trip soon, or if you enjoyed the novels, check out some of the stuff here (plus its interesting links), or here

Or watch this brand new 7-minute YouTube clip where two Christians from CultureWatch discuss the movie.
