As we celebrated our first birthday, our guest preacher, Graham Beynon, taught us from Luke 7:36-50.
He encouraged us to think more about Jesus’ great love for us, and challenged us to think about everything in our lives being in response to that great love. Listening to this talk will help you to understand the new strapline for our church: ‘growing together in love for Jesus’.
This Sunday, Emmanuel is celebrating its first birthday. It’s just one year since our official launch, and there is much to thank God for as we look back. If you’re coming to church this week, don’t forget to wear a festive hat!
It’s also an opportunity to look forward and to commit ourselves again as a church to love the Lord Jesus Christ … and in single-minded devotion to him, to give ourselves afresh to being ‘a Bible church’ and ‘a gospel church’.
