How is Emmanuel Church funded?
Emmanuel Church has no regular external support. Although we have received a few one-off grants, we are not part of a diocese or other affiliation and the church’s regular income is solely from the giving of its members and regular attenders.
How is money used that is donated to Emmanuel?
We will endeavour to use all money given to Emmanuel Church in line with our aims to build up, to reach and to send out: building up the body of Christ, reaching out with good outreach events to bring the Gospel to those within our community who don’t know it and sending out those from among us to proclaim the Gospel further afield.
We are aiming to give away 10% of our income to churches and projects who share our aims and priorities.
How can I find out more about the church’s finances?
We are obliged to be open about the income and expenditure of the church. These details are shared regularly at Members’ Meetings. It’s worth also reiterating that details of anyones’ giving are confidential to them and the Treasurer: no-one else at Emmanuel knows who gives or how much anyone gives.
