the good news

The message of Jesus is really good news.  In fact it’s the best news you could ever hear.  Because it tells us how messed up, broken people like us can be reunited with God, the one who made us and loves us.  It’s news which brings us hope and gives us purpose.

But many people dismiss it without giving it serious thought; like receiving a bundle of money in the post and throwing it in the recycling without opening it.  At Emmanuel, we’d love to simply explain the good news (and why we think it’s so good) so you can open that envelope and make your mind up for yourself.

The good news is simple enough to explain in a few pages using a few simple pictures.  Click on the logo below to check out a simple outline of the Christian message called Two Ways To Live.

If you have a few more minutes, why not watch the following video called Stop & Think.  If you don’t know the good news, it explains how fantastic it is that God loves us so much that He’d send Jesus to die for us.  If you’ve heard the good news many times, this video asks you not to take what you’ve heard for granted but to stop and think again.

If you’d like to talk about anything you’ve read or seen here, or you still have questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us via our contact page.  Or why not come along on a Sunday and ask your questions there.  You might like to come to our next Christianity Explored course to look at these things in more depth.  We’d love to help however we can.
