Books are great.  A good Christian book can help you grow in your understanding and your love of God.  At Emmanuel we have a bookstall where you can find a variety of helpful books to equip you for your Christian walk.  And the best things is, we get them really cheap, often as little as £1.  We’re not in it to make a profit, just to pass on great resources as easily as we can.

Each term we promote a ‘book of the term’ which we recommend everyone to read.  This generally ties in with our main sermon series and enables people to discuss what they’re reading with others.  This term’s book is yet to be decided, but watch this space…!

As great as Christian books are, they’re not as good as the Bible.  We encourage people at Emmanuel to read their Bibles regularly.  To support this we make available cheap copies of a variety of ‘quiet time’ notes.  To find out more about this or to set up a subscription, head over to the Open Up The Bible website.

If you come to a Sunday service, look out for the bookstall and grab a bargain.  If there’s a particular book you’re after, let us know and we’ll see what we can do about getting hold of it for you.
