I can see the many reasons for the service in the morning, but like Charlie I think that a service in the afternoon encourages a greater level of fellowship. You spend your day in anticipation of church rather than getting it 'over and done with' first thing in the morning. People aren't rushing off to cook the dinner or to meet with other friends - if anything it encourages friends to come! Invite them them over for lunch and them bring them to church, fantastic.
