Even a church of our size can be a bit big for some people. We know the Christian life has its ups and downs and so we want to provide a context for mutual support, a place where we can celebrate together in the good times, support one another when things are tough and love one another through those times when things are almost impossible.
We meet during the week in small groups (on Tuesday or Thursday evenings) in various homes in the area to read the Bible, to encourage each other to live in the light of what we learn, and to pray. We have five of these Home Groups, and most people at Emmanuel are in one of them. We encourage everyone to join a small group like this to help feel part of our church. Please email us at small.groups[at] emmanuelonline.org.uk for more information.
In the near future, we will include here photos and introductions to our Home Group leaders.
Sometimes people feel that they don’t know enough about Christianity to be in a Home Group. We really hope that our groups aren’t intimidating like that! But it may be that joining a six-week Christianity Explored course would be a better starting place for you. Click here to find out more about this relaxed, introductory course.
